I'm not sure what other photographers find to be the case, but these days I tend to use Lightroom far more than Photoshop. Lightroom is so much more fluid and relevant, and Photoshop is very unwieldy in comparison, so I no longer see the point in buying a full copy. Apart from the acrid smells and long hours, it's as much like being back in the darkroom again, well as much as using a laptop computer and a piece of software could ever be. I know that it was intended to accompany Photoshop, but I see it the other way around, Lightroom is the main program now and the other is used to just fine tune a things.
